Because of the nature of the agreement between Marvel Studios and Sony, who owns the film rights to Spider-Man, the availability of the titanic hit, Spider-Man: No Way Home, following its theatrical release, has been uncertain. The answer to both where and when it will stream recently came into light.

In an interview with Deadline, Starz CEO Jeffrey Hirsch confirmed the film will be available on the Starz streaming service. He suggested in the interview that the film will be available some time in the next six months, but provided no specific release date. The CEO also expressed his hope that No Way Home will provide a boost in viewership to some of Starz's original programming. "You put the right shows and content around it so you can move customers that watch Spider-Man into one of your originals," he explained.

The details concerning the home media release of Spider-Man: No Way Home have been scarce, though it was previously reported that audiences will have access to 100 minutes of bonus content with the Blu-ray, including at least one deleted scene featuring all three iterations of Spider-Man: those of actors Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire. This is on top of four additional deleted scenes, 20 featurettes, bloopers, visual effects breakdowns, Easter eggs, cast panel discussions and more.

Spider-Man: No Way Home has enjoyed unprecedented success following its premiere. The film has broken numerous box office records and has thus far grossed over $1.7 billion worldwide-- the second highest-grossing Marvel Cinematic Universe film under Avengers: Endgame. It was recently reported that No Way Home is on track to overtake James Cameron's Avatar in the domestic box office.

For comparison, No Way Home has grossed $741.4 million domestically, while Avatar took $760.5 million. Domestically, Avatar is currently the third highest-grossing film, under Avengers: Endgame and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The success of the film came as a surprise to some of the film's stars, including Holland, who recently stated, "I mean, I always knew that this film would be loved around the world... I didn't think it would be quite as massive as it has been." He later added, "I don't think I could ever have imagined it as being so well received by everyone. I mean, I guess I had an idea that people would love this movie, but in no way, shape or form could I have thought it was going to be as big as it has been."
