There are a lot of rumors swirling around Spider-Man: Far From Home, particularly in regards to its casting. There are a lot of reliable reports that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will reprise their previous roles as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, while Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx are returning as Doctor Otto Octavius and Max Dillon/Electro, respectively. With such a big cast of older characters, we think that might just lead to a showdown between three versions of Spider-Man and a version of the Sinister Six. In this video, we're going to lay out that theory.
At this time, it's clear that the multiverse is going to play a key role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward, and No Way Home is sure to be part of that. Right now, Doctor Strange, who is set to journey into the multiverse in his own solo film, is set to appear in No Way Home. This then indicates that No Way Home is going to, in at least some way, deal with the multiverse, lending a lot of credence to reports of Garfield and Maguire's returns.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, it's not totally clear just what shape the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will take. While there's a good indication the characters that Disney acquired from 21st Century Fox will soon arrive, there's not much solid information on just when or how that might happen. Right now, there are a lot of potential directions the MCU could go in the future, though exactly which one it will take remains to be seen.
Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, Tony Revolori, Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina and Benedict Cumberbatch. The film arrives in theaters Dec. 17.
