This poster is the latest released for No Way Home. Two recent posters paired Spider-Man up with his fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe hero and co-star for the film Doctor Strange, while an earlier one featured Spider-Man movie veteran Willem Dafoe wearing No Way Home's new Green Goblin armor.

Prior to these posters' releases, leading man Tom Holland had commented that the movie was more than the conclusion to his trilogy. "We were all treating [No Way Home] as the end of a franchise, let's say," the actor stated. "I think if we were lucky enough to dive into these characters again, you'd be seeing a very different version. It would no longer be the Homecoming trilogy. We would give it some time and try to build something different and tonally change the films."

In addition, Holland also recently discussed No Way Home's tone, revealing how it contrasts to those of his last two Spider-Man movies, 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming and 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home. "What people will be really surprised about is that it's not fun, this film," Holland said. "It's dark and it's sad, and it's going to be really affecting. You're going to see characters that you love go through things that you would never wish for them to go through. And I was just really excited to kind of lean into that side of Peter Parker."

However, while No Way Home will be the end of one trilogy, producer Amy Pascal recently announced that Sony will be producing another Spider-Man trilogy with Marvel Studios and Tom Holland involved. "This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel – [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie," Pascal commented. "We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel, it just isn't part of… we're thinking of this as three films, and now we're going to go onto the next three."

Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters on Dec. 17.
