Marvel and Sony debuted the first full-length trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home along with the first hi-res images of the five main Spider-Man villains appearing in the film.

The images include a look at Spider-Man's magical black suit, Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin, Jamie Foxx's Electro, Sandman and Lizard. The official trailer for No Way Home premiered at an exclusive fan event in Los Angeles on Nov. 16.

The return of these villains was rumored prior to the trailer's release, with the first teaser trailer only confirming the return of Green Goblin and Alfred Molina's Dr. Otto Octavius/Doc Ock. Other posters released by Marvel and Sony prior to the official trailer's release also hinted at Sandman and Foxx's Electro making their MCU debut. Recently, newly released stills from No Way Home also offered a close-up look of Peter Parker's violent battle with Doc Ock on the bridge, which was teased in the trailer. Each villain has appeared in a previous Spider-Man film, either battled by Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man in the Sam Raimi trilogy, or Andrew Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man films.

Both Holland and director Jon Watts teased the grand scale of Spider-Man: No Way Home in the past, with Watts comparing the film to Avengers: Endgame. "We're definitely trying to be ambitious," Watts said in a recent interview with Empire. "When I was first pitched the idea, I was like, 'Wow, that would be awesome if we could pull it off... But there's just no way it's going to work," Holland said in the same interview. "You're just not going to be able to get everyone to do what they need to do. It's just not going to happen.' But it did happen. And it's crazy."

Both Holland and the rest of the cast and crew are treating No Way Home "as the end of a franchise." Holland has previously stated, "I think if we were lucky enough to dive into these characters again, you'd be seeing a very different version. It would no longer be the Homecoming trilogy. We would give it some time and try to build something different and tonally change the films. Whether that happens or not, I don't know. But we were definitely treating [No Way Home] like it was coming to an end, and it felt like it."

The first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home quickly broke records after its release in August 2021, becoming the most viewed trailer ever in just a 24-hour window, garnering nearly 355.5 million views in its first day online. The trailer itself confirmed the return of Alfred Molina's Dr. Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus, who first appeared in Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, and teased the debut of Green Goblin to the MCU.

Spider-Man: No Way Home swings into theaters Dec. 17.
