A t-shirt purportedly given to the film crew of Spider-Man: No Way Home as a wrap gift appears to lend credence to rumors that Andrew Garfield will return as his version of Peter Parker/Spider-Man for the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film.A photo of the wrap gifts supposedly given to the No Way Home crew was shared to Twitter by user @spideysnews. Among the goodies is a shirt that sees Spider-Man hanging upside down from a crane. However, the suit Spidey is wearing is not the Tom Holland version. Rather, it appears to be the version worn by Andrew Garfield in the first Amazing Spider-Man movie. While @spideysnews' posts featuring the shirt are still up at the time of this writing, the account credited with originally posting the photo has been taken down.RELATED: Spider-Man: Tom Holland Shares a Shredded Selfie From No Way Home Set

Set for release later this year, No Way Home is Sony and Marvel Studios' third MCU Spider-Man movie. Its development and production have been the subject of countless rumors and reports, indicating that some familiar faces from Spidey's on-screen past would be returning in a Spider-Verse-esque capacity.

The two biggest names floated have been Tobey Maguire -- who played Peter Parker in director Sam Raimi's Spider-Man film trilogy -- and Andrew Garfield -- who played the character in Marc Webb's Amazing Spider-Man duology. (Notably, in addition to the shirt with Garfield's suit, a card that serves as part of the alleged gift pack seems to feature the title font used in Raimi's films.) Other characters reportedly involved in No Way Home include Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange, Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus, Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin, Jamie Foxx's Electro, Kirsten Dunst's Mary Jane Watson and even Charlie Cox's Daredevil.

Following Sony's Maguire-starred Spider-Man trilogy, the studio rebooted the character in 2012 with The Amazing Spider-Man. Garfield's new version of Spidey wore a distinct, redesigned suit (which can be seen on the No Way Home crew shirt), though adopted a more traditional look when it came time for the sequel.

After The Amazing Spider-Man 3 failed to materialize, Disney and Sony struck a deal to bring Spider-Man into the MCU. Now played by Tom Holland, Peter Parker officially joined Marvel Studios' shared universe in 2016's Captain America: Civil War. He has since appeared in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, as well as in the two solo films Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home. Holland has long expressed interest in doing some sort of crossover with Maguire and Garfield, especially following the success of Sony's animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
