One of the most baffling moments in the newest trailer for Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures' Spider-Man: No Way Home sees The Lizard jumping towards an invisible assailant before seemingly being struck in the face. However, a new piece of fan art provides a fast and furious solution to the conundrum.

"You don't need Tobey and Andrew if you've got FAMILY," reads a caption accompanying a still from the trailer, albeit with Fast & Furious' Vin Diesel leaping out of his car and into The Lizard's line of sight (the image was tweeted by @JedWagman but then removed). This is a nod to the wave of "family" memes that ran rampant after the release of F9, inspired by Dom Toretto's iconic and adaptable Fast & Furious catchphrase. It's also worth noting this is far from the first time this No Way Home trailer moment has gotten the meme treatment.

As previously mentioned, one of the money shots of the new No Way Home trailer sees Spider-Man leaping at Electro, Sandman and The Lizard, but many fans were quick to point out that Spidey's trajectory had him heading toward Sandman, while the trajectories of Electro and Lizard didn't quite line up with Tom Holland's web-slinger. Others noticed Lizard's head jerking back, suggesting he was attacked by someone scrubbed from the actual trailer. The Internet sleuths ultimately came to the conclusion that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will be present for this battle in the film but were digitally removed from the trailer to maintain an aura (or web) of secrecy.

While Maguire has been radio silent regarding reports of his return to the Spider-Man franchise, Garfield has been vocally denying his involvement for months. "Listen, I am not in the film, I love Spider-Man, I always have," he recently said. "I was so happy to have played the part and I'm so excited to see what they do with the third one just like you guys are. I love Tom Holland, I love Jon Watts, I love Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige and what they've done with those movies and that character because you know that's an important character to me."

Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in theaters Dec. 17.
