WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Spider-Man: No Way Home, now playing in theaters.

It's safe to say that following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, there's immense possibility as to what Sony can do with its wall-crawlers. The studio's set to continue working with Marvel Studios on the adventures of Tom Holland's Peter Parker after the mind-wipe spell across the multiverse, but there's the hope of exploring the original web-heads from the Sam Raimi or Marc Webb films as they're older and wiser. With that in mind, should Sony opt to revive Andrew Garfield's Peter, it can turn his Spidey into its very own Batman.

Fans loved all the Spider-Men working together, especially as it brought closure for many. For Garfield's Peter, in particular, he saved Zendaya's MJ and got to put the mistake he made in Gwen Stacy's death to bed. He also regained confidence thanks to Tobey Maguire's pep-talk, believing he was amazing again, and he shed the violent streak he had in the past.

Thus, after hearing the others wax on about love and being healed mentally, fans can see Sony giving Garfield another go in The Amazing Spider-Man 3, which would open the door for his own Catwoman. This is none other than Felicity Jones' Felicia Hardy (aka Black Cat), who was in the second film in a fleeting scene at Oscorp. While audiences never got to see her officially become Black Cat, the return of Garfield's Peter can rejig this and have him and her striking up a romance -- something the comics and cartoons have long harped on. In this case, Oscorp could crash after the Green Goblin fiasco, leading Felicia to become a corporate thief.

She'd have the tech and inside knowledge into rivals, maybe either trying to boost the company's image or her own bank account. The latter would indeed make her a sympathetic villain, which is what the Cat is to the Bat over at DC; although, this may be more out of survival than ego.

That said, this freshens up the love dynamic, as we've seen Mary Jane done to death over the years, and just like how Bruce transformed his grief into something hopeful, Peter can do the same to try to show Black Cat the light. It'd make for an intriguing relationship, as he knows he should capture her, only for feelings to get in the way since both would find their missions derailed via this cat-and-mouse game.

It'd also make Peter a pseudo-detective on her trail, believing the best in people and not giving up on them after working with the other Spideys in the MCU. After all, Bruce has always been about redeeming Selina, spotting the hero inside. Ultimately, it fits as Jones' profile continues to climb due to Star Wars: A Rogue One Story, where she played Jyn Erso, and On the Basis of Sex, where she played Ruth Bader Ginsburg. To top it off, it'll give us a badass team-up with a hero and a thief, packing in levity and comedy that Matt Reeves' The Batman just can't dive into with its bleak, morose tone.

To see how Sony could revisit Black Cat after the multiverse spill, Spider-Man: No Way Home is in theaters now.
