Andrew Garfield, who recently reprised his role as Peter Parker for 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home, says he'll be taking a hiatus from acting following the release of FX's Under the Banner of Heaven.

In an interview with Variety, Garfield address his upcoming role as Detective Jeb Pyre in Under the Banner of Heaven. Garfield said after the project's release, he's "going to rest for a bit." He continued, "I need to recalibrate and reconsider what I want to do next and who I want to be and just be a bit of a person for awhile. Because as you know, that is a washing machine, that awards season. I need to just be a bit ordinary for a while." Garfield did not specify just how long his break from acting would be.
