A cosplayer has attended several protests in the New York area in support of the Black Lives Matter movement as Miles Morales/Spider-Man, while also advocating for equality in the transgender community."We gotta make a change, it’s time for us as a people to start making some changes. Let's change the way we eat, live and treat each other," CosPlayNay wrote in one of his tweets, quoting rapper Tupac Shakur. He was also  spotted at another protest holding up a sign that says "Black Trans Lives Matter."

"Being pro black does not mean anti-any other race," he wrote in another post. "But for too long we’ve been judged as criminals because the color of our skin. It’s 2020 and we’re still fighting racism. NO MORE!! YOU’RE EITHER BY OUR SIDE! ON OUR SIDE! OR IN OUR WAY!" The post also features CosPlayNay holding up his fist in honor of the Black Lives Matter movement.

The protests over the brutal murder of George Floyd and other African Americans at the hands of police officers are also taking place during Pride Month, where the LBGTQ+ community celebrates its sexuality.
