A new trailer for Miles Morales: Spider-Man #25 has put the spotlight on the young web-slinger's own Clone Saga.

The trailer features Miles being briefly attacked by the original Spider-Man Peter Parker, before they encounter one of Miles' clones. The clone appears to have shape-shifting powers, and easily overpowers Miles and Peter. Two other clones are shown, with one looking like an actual spider and the other having razor sharp blades embedded in his arms.

The "Clone Saga" storyline will feature Saladin Ahmed on writing duties, with Carmen Carnero providing art for the issue. "Since the very first issue of Miles Morales: Spider-Man, I've known that I wanted to put Miles through that iconic wringer in his own distinctive way," Ahmed said when the story was first announced, and added that the "ramifications will be felt for years."

The original Clone Saga focused on Peter Parker and his own clone Ben Reilly, though it gained notoriety due to lasting for years. Miles Morales: Spider-Man has been seeding the elements of its "Clone Saga" throughout previous issues, including Miles encountering another doppelganger of himself who perished when the two Spider-Men used their bio-electric "venom blast" against each other. At the end of Miles Morales: Spider-Man #24, Miles' parents revealed that another Spider-Man had abducted a scientist.

Written by Saladin Ahmed and illustrated by Carmen Carnero, Miles Morales: Spider-Man #25 goes on sale in April from Marvel.
