Brian Horton, Creative Director at Insomniac Games, confirmed that the game takes place one year after Spider-Man, which introduced Miles to the superhero world. Miles's new home, Harlem, is in danger as war wages between Roxxon Energy and the Underground. The trailer provides a gameplay sequence, showing Miles come between the groups on a bridge after a disruption at an election rally led by his mother. Though he manages to fight off many of his adversaries, the Roxxon technology is stolen and the bridge begins to collapse. The video shows Miles leaping to the rescue, using all his power and strength to save everyone while avoiding falling power lines, cars and debris.

Fans are just as hyped as Bendis after seeing the gameplay, and they can try for themselves on Nov. 12. Two versions of the game will be available. The physical and digital standard edition will cost $49.99. Available for both PS4 and PS5, the standard edition will house the base game.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition will cost $69.99 exclusively for the PlayStation 5. This physical and digital version contains the base game and a voucher code for Marvel's Spider-Man: Remastered.
