On Tuesday, Spider-Man: Far From Home earned an impressive $39.2 million domestically, and the film didn't slow down over the weekend.

Far From Home beat Sony's record for a six-day launch, which was held by 2004's Spider-Man 2. Far From Home made $93.6 million over the Independence Day weekend, with its six-day launch accumulating $185.1 million from 4,634 North American theaters. Far From Home beat out its predecessor, 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming, in opening weekend ticket sales. Homecoming made $117 million over its three-day release.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which released in 2011, is to only film to have earned more over the July 4th weekend than Far From Home, making $97.9 million.

Globally, Far From Home has now made over $580 million with an overseas total of $395 million. The movie opened early in several regions, including China.

Closing out Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man: Far From Home follows Peter Parker as he attempts to have a fun class trip in Europe. There, he is recruited by Nick Fury to help a hero named Quentin Beck save the world from The Elementals.
