When the serial killer known as Cletus Kasady acquired the Symbiote offspring of Venom, one of the evilest Marvel supervillains was born. Naming himself Carnage, Kasady went on to use his new powers to commit some of the most heinous crimes ever shown on a comic book page.

There are many heroes in the Marvel universe that haven't had the pleasure of meeting Carnage. Many of them Carnage could easily defeat. Others would undoubtedly destroy him. Here are the top 5 Marvel heroes Carnage could easily defeat and 5 he has no chance against.

10 Daredevil - Would Defeat

Daredevil has one of the most unique powersets of any Marvel hero. Radioactive chemicals spilled on Matt Murdock as a child gave him enhanced senses. Although Murdock is blind, he can see the world better than almost any other human being.

When it comes to DD's strength and reflexes, however, the defender of Hell's Kitchen is quite human. When facing an enemy as powerful and physically enhanced as Carnage, the blind lawyer-by-day wouldn't stand a chance.

9 Captain Marvel - Has No Chance

Carol Danvers got her abilities from the Kree hero known as Mar-Vell. She has since proven to be one of the most capable Avengers, serving as one of the teams overpowered heavy hitters.

There are many enemies Carnage could easily kill, but against Captain Marvel, the odds would not be in his favor. Using her energy projection, Captain Marvel would be able to easily eviscerate the Spider-Man baddie.

8 Captain America - Would Defeat

Captain America is perhaps the best hand-to-hand combatant in all of Marvel comics. Such raw fighting skills combined with an indestructible shield has helped Cap be one of the greatest superheroes of all time.

That being said, these advanced skills are no match for Cletus Kasady. While using the Symbiote, Kasady is stronger, faster, and much more durable than Marvel's first Avenger.

7 Quasar - Has No Chance

Wendell Vaughn as Quasar

Much like Captain Marvel, Quasar is another space fairing hero used to fighting enormous cosmic threats. Empowered by the mysterious Quantum Bands, Quasar travels the galaxy in hopes of fighting evil and making it a better place.

In much the same way Captain Marvel would eviscerate Carnage, Quasar would be able to do so as well. His ability to absorb and redirect energy, matched with his high levels of invulnerability and strength simply make Quasar too much for Carnage to handle.

6 Hawkeye - Would Defeat

Hawkeye leaps through the air, preparing to fire an arrow in Marvel comics

Often thought of as a token Avenger, Hawkeye is often joked about as the least powerful member of the team. Despite this, he has served on the Avengers almost as long as any other member.

Hawkeye actually does have quite an impressive list of abilities, and while using his trick arrows there are many villains he could surprisingly beat. Carnage would not be one of those villains. Unless Hawkeye had some sort of powerful sonic arrow ready to go, he would be quickly killed by the murderous symbiote.

5 Weapon H - Has No Chance

Perhaps the most recently created hero on this list, Weapon H is also likely the most powerful. Combining the powers of Wolverine, Hulk and a long list of additional superhumans, Weapon H was created to be one of the most powerful super-soldiers to ever exist.

A fight between Weapon H and Carnage wouldn't last long. Weapon H would use his claws and massive strength to shred Carnage to pieces. His nearly impenetrable skin and incredible healing factor would keep Carnage from being able to hurt Weapon H even a little.

4 Black Widow - Would Defeat

The former spy and master assassin of the Avengers, Black Widow is another character with a lot of history on the team. Probably the most iconic of all the female Avengers, Black Widow has accomplished a long list of heroic feats during her superhero career. This is so much so that she has made up for all the horrible things she did while working for the Russian government.

While Natasha Romanov is a skilled and crafty fighter, she is still only human. Facing off against a sinister powerhouse like Carnage would end only one way: with her premature death.

3 Adam Warlock - Has No Chance

If you thought Captain Marvel and Quasar were the two most powerful cosmic heroes on this list, think again. Adam Warlock is the signature cosmic hero of the Marvel universe... besides Silver Surfer, of course, who has already fought Carnage.

With frequent antagonists like Thanos and the Magus, it's hard to believe that Carnage would offer any sort of challenge to the cosmic hero. Warlock has died a few times, but he always comes back. Each time Adam is resurrected, he comes back even more powerful. After several deaths and resurrections, Adam Warlock's powers have grown to the point where Carnage truly wouldn't stand a chance.

2 Punisher - Would Defeat

Punisher has the highest kill count of any hero in Marvel comics. Deciding that crime needed a permanent punishment, Frank Castle decided to set out on a murderous crusade against all violent criminals.

While Punisher has murdered many criminals in his day, very few of his victims were actually supervillains. The supervillains Castle has managed to kill are mostly C-list or D-list characters that didn't pose a very big threat in the first place. A practiced killer like Carnage with incredible powers would be a challenge unlike any Punisher has faced, and would most likely result in his death.

1 Hulk - Has No Chance

Hulk's powers have varied over his long history. From Grey Hulk to Professor Hulk and even World Breaker Hulk, his power ranges from incredibly strong to world destroyingly powerful. All of these forms have one thing in common: they would all be able to defeat Carnage.

While Carnage is more powerful than both Venom and Spider-Man, the Hulk is simply on another level. Kasady's motor mouth and penchant for killing would likely only enrage Hulk, making him even stronger. The green behemoth would pummel Carnage until nothing remained of either Kasady or his alien suit.
