WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Amazing Spider-Man #63 by Nick Spencer, Federico Vicentini, Alex Sinclair & VC's Joe Caramagna, on sale now.

Wilson Fisk is doing everything he can in Amazing Spider-Man to find a way to bring back his beloved Vanessa Fisk from the dead. To do so, he has looked into two different ways to resurrect his wife.

Kingpin first asked the demonic Kindred for help, a villain who had already brought Sin-Eater and Mysterio back from the dead. Kingpin even dropped to his knees and begged for Kindred to help him, offering the villain anything in the world to grant him this favor. Kindred rejected the offer and mocked Kingpin, earning his wrath. Now, Kingpin is attempting to steal the Lifeline Tablet from Boomerang and Spider-Man as they piece it back together.

While Kingpin has focused most of his attention on the Lifeline Tablet, even offering a "Get Out of Jail Free" card to any villain who brings him Boomerang, he has not forgotten about his Plan A. Kingpin and Norman Osborn captured Kindred using a Darkforce Cage. With Kindred captive in Ravencroft Institute, Kingpin just gained knowledge that gives him ample leverage over the demonic villain. Wilson Fisk has access to the security cameras at Ravencroft, and he now knows that Kindred is Harry Osborn and that Norman Osborn has been working to betray him this entire time.

Norman Osborn in Spider-Man

When Kingpin and Norman Osborn went in to capture Kindred in Amazing Spider-Man #56 by Nick Spencer and Mark Bagley, the two used Wilson Fisk's plan of bringing in The Spot to capture Kindred in a Darkforce Cage. Osborn then requested that Kingpin leave Kindred at Ravencroft because Norman could hurt the demon and break him due to their bond. However, his true goal was to find a way to save Harry and keep him close until he could figure it out. He convinced Kingpin to trust him, although the mayor told him not to cross him. Wilson Fisk put Norman in charge of Ravencroft, so the former Green Goblin should have known better than to believe he was not under surveillance.

Now, Kingpin knows that Kindred is Harry Osborn, which gives him a target to get his information. There is nothing Kingpin can do to Kindred to make the demon bend to his will, nor is there anything he can do to Norman Osborn that will cause Kindred to blink an eye. However, Kingpin knows that Harry has a wife, Liz Allen, and a son, Normie. There would be nothing to stop Kingpin from threatening to hurt those few select people that Harry does care about to force him to help him achieve his goal and dreams of bringing Vanessa Fisk back.

This also likely marks the end of the road for Norman Osborn in his current status quo. Kingpin knows that Norman was working behind his back to betray him this entire time, so the former Green Goblin is likely in grave danger. Norman reformed thanks to his evil soul never returning after Sin-Eater cleansed him. However, he now owes Wilson Fisk a great debt if he ever wants to get out Fisk's crosshairs. Wilson Fisk gave Norman Osborn power, and Norman betrayed his trust in response. While he doesn't know it yet, Osborn's life is about to change because he crossed the one person no one should ever cross.
