Over the past few issues of Amazing Spider-Man, the Wall-Crawler has been wrestling with his morals while contemplating the fate of his most hated enemy — Norman Osborn. The decision that Spider-Man made might have just doomed his closest allies like Silk, Spider-Woman, Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen. But thanks to the Sin-Eater, those allies are hunting down Spider-Man as his newest enemies in Amazing Spider-Man #50.LR.

Amazing Spider-Man #50 saw Spider-Man run to Doctor Strange for help since he knew he was dealing with a demonic presence. The issue revealed something Spider-Man hadn't told Strange about yet. Silk crashed through the giant window of the Sanctum Sanctorum, possessed and with murder in her eyes. It was clear Kindred was setting up a gauntlet of sorts for Spider-Man to work his way through before he finally gets to the man pulling all the strings.

This all started when Spider-Man went to his friends for advice as he tried to decide whether or not to save Norman Osborn. In Amazing Spider-Man #47, Peter talks to Miles Morales and asked him his opinion of what he should do. Miles has a strong opinion considering he watched the Peter Parker of his world die at the hands of Green Goblin. He then asked Spider-Gwen her thoughts since the Gwen of this world died at the hands of Green Goblin. Both told Peter it was his choice, but they both feared Norman Osborn.

Silk attacks Spider-Man

After this, Madame Web gathered together some of Spider-Man's closest allies to determine whether they should save Peter Parker from himself. They now call themselves the Order of the Web, and it includes Madame Web, Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, Silk, Spider-Woman, and Spider-Girl (Anya Corazon). Each and every one of them has had the same dream: Green Goblin killing Spider-Man. While they debated the issue, Spider-Man rushed into Ravencroft and attacked Sin-Eater to save Norman Osborn from the "cleansing" of his sins. With each new power stolen, Sin-Eater became stronger and stronger. Peter made the decision to save Norman regardless of the outcome.  This was all about Spider-Man keeping his responsibility to save everyone — even Norman Osborn.

The Order of the Web was going to stop Spider-Man from saving Norman Osborn from Sin-Eater, but they chose to wait when Spider-Gwen convinced them that they owed it to Peter Parker to let him make his own decision. He saved Norman, and then his allies showed up to save him from an attacking Green Goblin. At that moment, Peter made the wrong decision. He tossed Norman out of the escape pod, leaving him for Sin-Eater. As they tried to escape, Madame Web was horrified, as her dreams were not about Green Goblin killing Spider-Man, but about Kindred.

Spider-Man Last Remains fight

What happened next was an all-out attack by Kindred. However, the demon didn't attack Spider-Man straight on. Instead, he betrayed Sin-Eater and stripped him of all the powers and sins that he had stolen. Instead of taking all those powers for himself and attacking Spider-Man, he spread those powers and sins to the members of the Order of the Web. Spider-Man heard Sin-Eater's voice and suddenly knew what Norman Osborn already knew: the true identity of Kindred. By that time, it was too late because Spider-Man's closest friends and allies attacked him before running off.

Now, Spider-Man will have to hunt down his closest allies before they can hurt anyone else and spread Kindred's twisted designs for Spider-Man further around.
