The first round of advance reviews for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse are in and the upcoming animated film has earned unanimous critical acclaim so far.

The film currently holds a rare perfect score of 100 percent on review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes with critics praising it as a fresh take on the genre that feels like a comic book come to life with several reviews labeling it as both one of the greatest superhero and animated films ever made.

As the film is currently scoring better than this year's Incredibles 2 (96 percent), Ralph Breaks the Internet (91 percent), and Avengers: Infinity War (87 percent) in the period right after the review embargoes were first lifted following their respective advance screenings, it certainly is on track to become one of the most critically acclaimed films of the year overall.

While Spider-Verse's score is sure to dip marginally as it nears its wide release in two weeks, the current perfect score is a strong vote of confidence for the Sony film.
