Released through Columbia Pictures on December 14, 2018, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse stars Miles Morales and several Spider-Man counterparts from other dimensions who battle the villainous Kingpin to stop a threat from destroying all their realities. In addition to its many versions of Spider-Man, Into the Spider-Verse also features a variety of the web-slinger's rogues, including Scorpion, Prowler and Tombstone.
Into the Spider-Verse was met with mostly positive reviews from both critics and audiences, and it even went on to win the 2018 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film. Naturally, Sony has said its planning a sequel and several possible spinoffs.
Directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse stars Shameik Moore, Brian Tyree Henry, Jake Johnson, Mahershala Ali, Hailee Steinfeld, Liev Schreiber, Luna Lauren Velez, Lily Tomlin, Nicolas Cage, John Mulaney and Kimiko Glenn. The film is available on Digital HD, UltraHD, 4K, Blu-ray and DVD.
