We all remember Spidey's entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In this new clip from Spider-Man: Homecoming, it turns out out Peter Parker himself was geeking out just as hard.

The theatrical debut of Spider-Man: Homecoming inches closer every day, and now the opening four minutes of the film have been released ahead of the film's premiere. In it, we see Tom Holland's Peter excitedly documenting his journey from teen-aged vigilante to full-on Avenger in true millenial fashion -- vlogging.

What happened between Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.) first meeting with young Peter and the moment Spidey famously stole Captain America's shield in Captain America: Civil War? The sequence showcases a beleaguered Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau), a Spidey suit upgrade and commentary on that epic Civil War fight.

The sequence stays in line with director Jon Watts' vision of a younger, more fun John Hughes-esque Spider-Man film. It also manages to fulfill obligatory references to the MCU in a decidedly entertaining way.

Directed by Jon Watts and starring Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., Zendaya, Donald Glover, and many more, Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theaters Friday, July 7.
