Fans have already spotted a handful of Easter eggs in the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" trailer -- the mural of Howard Stark, the photo of Bruce Banner, Peter Parker's T-shirt -- but there's one that may indicate how soon after the events of "Captain America: Civil War" that the film takes place.

An eagle-eyed Reddit user noticed that in the limo scene, Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark still sports the bruise he received while fighting Winter Soldier in "Civil War." It's faded, and obscured by sunglasses, but if you look closely, the shiner is still there.

You may have to consult a medical journal or an actual physician to try to calculate the rate at which bruises heal, but it's safe to say "Homecoming" is set pretty soon after "Civil War." And that only makes sense, given a synopsis that describes Peter's attempts to "fall back into his normal daily routine" after his experience with the Avengers, to say nothing of the scene from the trailer in which he's absorbed by footage of his fight with Ant-Man. (Or is that Giant-Man?)

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

Directed by Jon Watts, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr. The film opens July 7, 2017.
