With two months to go before the release of Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios' "Spider-Man: Homecoming," a new clip arrived on Sunday night as part of the MTV Movie & TV Awards -- featuring Peter Parker caught in the act. The footage has surfaced online via Twitter:

“You’re the Spiderman!” Here’s your first look at a brand new @SpiderManMovie clip, exclusively from the #MTVAwards airing right now! pic.twitter.com/KAUYYlXz6E— MTV (@MTV) May 8, 2017

In nearly 90 seconds from the movie, Peter (Tom Holland) attempts to sneak into his room undetected by his Aunt May, only for his best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon) to catch him in costume -- startling him so much he drops their nearly finished LEGO Death Star (that's more than 4,000 pieces right there), as he proclaims, "You're the Spider-Man -- from YouTube!"

In a classic bit of superhero secret identity-in-crisis, Peter explains that Ned can't tell anyone, that only Tony Stark knows -- and oh yeah, he's "basically" an Avenger. Ned is a lot less flustered: "This is the greatest thing that's ever happened to me." The clip wraps with a short reel of previously seen footage from prior trailers.

Directed by Jon Watts and also starring Zendaya, Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr., "Spider-Man: Homecoming" is scheduled for release on July 7.
