True to their word, "Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!" hosted the debut of Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures' first domestic "Spider-Man: Homecoming" trailer, offering up new footage of Tom Holland's Peter Parker and his web-slinging alter ego.
A partnership between Marvel and Sony, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" marks the first solo outing featuring the wall-crawler as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, also occupied by the likes of the Avengers, Doctor Strange and the Guardians of the Galaxy. The film is the second appearance of Holland's Spidey, after his well-received debut in Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War," in which he was recruited by Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark/Iron Man to face off against Team Cap.
Directed by Jon Watts ("Clown"), written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein ("Vacation") and starring Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., Zendaya, Donald Glover and many, many others, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" swings into theaters on July 7, 2017.
