Peter sees the people he loves who have died, but is shocked to see that he can't even remember his parents' faces.

Marla Jameson then suggested that Peter let her die because she wasn't REALLY close to him.

We then see all the various dead people who haunt him due to their deaths. He points out that he never kills himself.

But he is then haunted by Gwen Stacy saying he SHOULD have killed to avenge her murder.

This leads to Peter brutalizing the burglar, before seeing that it is now Uncle Ben, as doing so would brutalize Ben's memory.

So Peter then makes the haunting decision to not allow anyone to die from this point forward, something that will obviously haunt him in the future.
