A series of edited clips, taken from across the most famous Spider-Man films, turns some of the most iconic scenes into horror-filled displays. Gory enough that they would have earned these films an R-rating, if they were real.

The clip was created by Corridor Crew in 2021 and, after gaining popularity upon its release, the edited footage has grabbed the attention of Spider-Man fans once again. The montage takes some of the most famous scenes from Spider-Man 2, Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming. Peter Parker's attempt to stop the train ends poorly, the attempt to rescue Gwen Stacy somehow gets an even worse ending and, finally, Peter's handling of the Washington Monument situation end poorly.

The enthusiasm regarding the three major Spider-Man film franchises was fueled by the premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which featured the return of all three iterations of the Wall-Crawler-- that of actor Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland. It may have also been fueled by rumors surrounding the recently released Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which was rumored to feature yet another appearance of Maguire's Peter Parker.

The release of No Way Home and Raimi's return to superhero films recently reignited audience demand for a fourth instalment in the original Spider-Man saga, starring Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst. Dunst herself has expressed an openness to reprising the role of Mary-Jane Watson. When asked if she would join Maguire in the multiverse, she said, "You know I’d join that multiverse! I feel like I'm the only one that hasn't joined it... I'm like, 'Please put me in. Put me in the lineup.' I need to pay for my house and kids."

In a previous interview, even Maguire appeared to suggest that he was not necessarily finished with Spider-Man. While discussing No Way Home, the actor talked about his Peter Parker's role in it and how the story impacted him. "There are personal things, too, which are kinda resolutions or a way to revisit and to get back into that and, I don't wanna say, like, 'close the chapter,' but 'revisit' and have certain resolutions and just join in this loving creative spirit," he said.

When it comes to Spider-Man's future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios and Sony have assured fans that his future is being actively developed and it was previously reported that a fourth film is in the works, intended to begin a new Spider-Man trilogy.
