Principal photography on Spider-Man: Far From Home has shifted to Venice, Italy as Tom Holland joins to two familiar faces in a photo in the city's iconic canals.
Holland posted a photo on his Instagram account with Ned Batalon and Zendaya as the production moves to its Italian location. It is the third European city to be filmed for the upcoming MCU sequel after principal photography began in London in July before moving to Prague.
Next year's Spider-Man sequel is expected to follow the events of Avengers 4 with a resurrected Peter Parker going on a summer vacation with his friends only to run into new villains overseas.
While Zendaya's Michelle had previously been seen on set in Europe, Batalon's prominent appearance in Holland's post confirms Peter Parker's high school friend Ned Leeds will also be joining his classmates on their European vacation.
Helmed by returning director Jon Watts, Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jake Gyllenhaal, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Remy Hii, and Tony Revolori. It is scheduled to be released on July 5, 2019.
