During its panel at Brazil Comic Con this weekend, Sony unveiled the first official footage of Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Stars Tom Holland (Peter Parker), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds) and Jake Gyllenhaal (Mysterio) took the stage to discuss the film following the trailer. Though the trailer itself hasn't yet been released online -- and likely won't be released today -- several outlets and tweets from those who attended the panel have described the trailer. Don't be surprised if things change when the trailer gets an official release, as Holland apparently specified that this trailer was exclusive to CCXP.

As it turns out, Gyllenhaal's fishbowl wearing Mysterio isn't the film's antagonist: he's the co-protagonist, at least at the start of the film. He and Spider-Man are supposedly teaming up to take on a group of creatures known as the Elementals. Three of them are seen in the trailer: one made of fire, one of water and another of sand. During the fight against the water Elemental, Mysterio shows up with green smoke and presents himself as the one to save the day.

Why is Peter in Venice? Well, Spider-Man is famous now and going on a European school trip! Before he can appreciate the sights and sounds, though, Nick Fury shows up in Venice and recruits him for a mission, which may explain how the newly released Stealth Suit comes into play, as he's left his classic suit behind in New York.

Peter's classmates tag along during his world tour. So far, those classmates are confirmed as Ned, Zendaya's Michelle and Tony Revolori's Flash Thompson. Ned gets hit with a sleep dart by Fury in the trailer, and Flash shows up after the logo appears to make fun of Peter. The trailer also seems to confirm a romance between Peter and Michelle, along with one between Aunt May and Happy Hogan. Naturally, though, all of them will be in danger as Peter faces the Elementals.

Helmed by returning director Jon Watts, Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jake Gyllenhaal, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Remy Hii and Tony Revolori. It is scheduled to be released on July 5, 2019.
