If you were wondering whether, or how, Spider-Man: Far From Home would tackle the fallout from Avengers: Endgame, the newly released trailer provides an answer. In the process, it turns the Marvel Cinematic Universe upside down.

Oh, it's not only that Tony Stark sacrificed his life during the events of the Marvel Studios blockbuster, but that Jake Gyllenhaal's "Mr. Beck -- better known to fans as Quentin Beck, aka Mysterio -- is from an alternate Earth. Yes, Far From Home apparently introduces the Marvel Multiverse, as rumored.

"The snap tore a hole in our dimension," Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury explains, although it's unclear to which snap he's referring.

The surprises may not end there, however, as it certainly appears that Zendaya's Michelle "M.J." Jones has deduced that Peter Parker is, indeed Spider-Man.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man must step up to take on new threats in a world that has changed forever.

Opening July 2, director Jon Watts’ Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland, Samuel L. Jackson, Zendaya, Cobie Smulders, Jon Favreau, JB Smoove, Jacob Batalon and Martin Starr, with Marisa Tomei and Jake Gyllenhaal. Avengers: Endgame is currently in theaters.
