Gwyneth Paltrow might be headed back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A new report claims she will reprise the role of Pepper Potts in Spider-Man: Far From Home, which will hit theaters following the events of the as-yet untitled Avengers 4.

A video reportedly shot on the set of Spider-Man: Far From Home features Jon Favreau's character Happy Hogan, also known as Tony Stark's friend and chauffeur in the Iron Man films. With Hogan's appearance looking likely in the upcoming sequel, SuperBrosMovies reports that Pepper Potts won't be far behind.

Potts is already expected to make a return in Avengers 4, following up on her cameo from Avengers: Infinity War. Because the status of so many characters currently hangs in the balance, uncertainty had been looming as to how much of an impact Avengers 4 would have on Far From Home. Now, though, it looks like Pepper might have another role to play in the MCU.

Paltrow has played Pepper Potts, Tony Stark's right-hand woman, since the first Iron Man movie hit theaters in 2008. Ten years on, her presence remains an important one in the ever-expanding cast of characters.

Other rumors circulating around the Far From Home set include a possible appearance by Michael Keaton. He would reprise his role as Adrian Toomes, the villain who took on Spider-Man in 2017's Homecoming. Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Cobie Smulders (Agent Maria Hill) are also part of the cast.

Helmed by returning director Jon Watts, Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jake Gyllenhaal, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Remy Hii and Tony Revolori. It is scheduled to be released on July 5, 2019.
