Spider-Man: Far From Home Spot Welcomes a New Hero to the Avengers

Footage from Spider-Man: Far From Home brings one of the movie's new heroes into the Avengers.

The clip, which you can see below and was posted by Tom Holland China on Twitter, features a lot of new footage from the film. One noteworthy scene sees Peter Parker welcoming Mysterio to the Avengers, indicating he himself has the authority to make such an addition. Peter appears to be wearing his new stealth suit in the scene, and it looks to take place after some sort of confrontation.

Although the marketing materials for Far From Home have thus far shown Mysterio as a hero and ally to Spider-Man, his comics history would suggest he might not be being truthful about who he is. Director Jon Watts previously said Mysterio will be comics-accurate, and that the movie reflects his first appearance in print. Amazing Spider-Man #13, by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, introduces Mysterio and sees him attempting to frame Spider-Man in order to present himself as a hero.
