While there's plenty we still don't know about the plot of Spider-Man: Far From Home, the trailers and TV spots have already revealed some interesting details, namely Mysterio's surprising claim that he's from another dimension. However, we've also seen that Peter Parker will suit up in (at least) three different costumes. Going into the film, one of the big questions is how Peter finds the time and resources to create these suits, seeing as how he's busy traveling Europe, and battling Elementals.

A new international TV spot provides the answer: highly advanced Stark tech, of course!

In previous promos for Spider-Man: Far From Home trailers, we glimpsed Tom Holland's wall-crawler toying with holographic designs for his suits in what appeared to be a workshop. That suggested the young hero was being positioned as the next Iron Man, following Tony Stark's sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame. However, that's only the beginning.

The latest promo indicates that Peter's workshop is inside a Stark Industries jet. We see holographic designs for additional suits, one of which looks to be an upgraded, and comics-accurate, Iron Spider. But the suit is actually constructed using something new: a highly advanced 3D printer. With this machine, Peter's new suit is presumably complete, and ready for action, within a matter of minutes.

It's actually a pretty ingenious way to include numerous Spider-Man costumes in a single film, and to boost the sales of merchandise. However, it also has the potential to provide comic book fans with even more nods to the source material.

At the same time, it also makes a lot of sense on a story level. After all, as Peter travels across Europe, moving from one Elemental creature to the next, he can now use his intellect and Stark tech to create suits tailored to specific battles or scenarios. There's a water monster on the loose? How about a waterproof suit. What's that, a fire creature is rampaging through the streets? Maybe something a little more flame-retardant, then. In short, now Peter Parker can be ready for virtually anything.

It also ties into the themes of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Peter is trying to live up to the legacy of Iron Man, and the best way to do that is to build multiple suits to help save people -- just like Tony Stark did.

Opening July 2, director Jon Watts’ Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland, Samuel L. Jackson, Zendaya, Cobie Smulders, Jon Favreau, JB Smoove, Jacob Batalon and Martin Starr, with Marisa Tomei and Jake Gyllenhaal.
