Spider-Man: Far From Home concept artist Jerad Marantz unveiled unused art for a "Mega-Elemental" idea that didn't make it into the final cut of the film.

Marantz shared the concept art on his Instagram account. This so-called "Mega-Elemental" appears to be a combination of each Elemental (Earth, Air, Fire and Water) that appeared throughout Spider-Man: Far From Home. From the look at the artwork, the Mega-Elemental was planned as part of the film's final battle sequence that takes place on London's Tower Bridge.

Also included in the post was a statement by Marantz in regard to the creation process of the monstrous character. "I did a few versions of this guy starting with sketches. It was a real challenge trying to combine all the elements," he said.

Spider-Man: Far From Home follows Peter Parker as he and his classmates take a trip across Europe. Although Parker initially saw this vacation as a hiatus from his hectic life as a superhero, Nick Fury quickly interrupts this notion when he informs Peter that the Elementals have made their way to Earth from across the Multiverse with plans on consuming the planet.

Helmed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: Far from Home stars Tom Holland, Samuel L. Jackson, Zendaya, Cobie Smulders, Jon Favreau, J.B. Smoove, Jacob Batalon and Martin Starr, with Marisa Tomei and Jake Gyllenhaal. The film is available now on Digital and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and DVD.
