Spider-Man Faces Electro in Shocking "Ends of the Earth" Teaser Image

Marvel Comics continued its week of teaser reveals for "Ends of the Earth," the upcoming "Amazing Spider-Man" event written by Dan Slott with art by Stefano Caselli. The teaser by Gabrielle Dell'Otto pits Spider-Man in a losing battle against the deadly Electro for "Amazing Spider-Man" #682. Dell'Otto's image is the newest in a series of teasers for the "Amazing Spider-Man" event coinciding with the web-slinger's 50th Anniversary.

In 2011, Slott teased the lead-in to "Ends of the Earth," highlighting the reformation of the Sinister Six and Doc Ock's recent villainous achievements in the Marvel U.

"We've seen Doc Ock and the Sinister Six slowly building and percolating this master plan," Slott said in 2011. "On the way it's stretched out into the Marvel Universe proper. We've seen Doc Ock totally smack down Iron Man. He totally wiped the floor with Hank Pym's team in 'Avengers Academy.' Over in 'Spider-Man' during an FF team up, Doc Ock pwned Reed Richards! He took over the Baxter Building and stole all kinds of stuff. Doc Ock's been taking out the biggest brains on his stomp to global domination."

The new Electro teaser follows yesterday's Doc Ock image also illustrated by Dell'Otto. Earlier this month, Marvel also released four new teaser images for "Ends of the Earth" including a look at Spider-Man's new suit for the event.
