One of the biggest mysteries surrounding Spider-Man: Far From Home has been the emergence of the Elementals, monstrous new villains who threaten Europe and force Nick Fury to recruit Spider-Man and Mysterio to bring them down.

Following the release of the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film's latest trailer, the existence of the cinematic Multiverse has been confirmed with Mysterio revealing himself as the Quentin Beck from an alternate reality. In a new interview following the trailer's release, returning Spider-Man: Homecoming director Jon Watts has confirmed the Elementals are from the same world as Mysterio invading the main MCU Earth.

"They're both from the same sort of parallel dimension," confirmed Watts in an interview with Fandango.

The trailers have revealed the Elementals to be true to their names, taking on the forms of earth, water and fire as Mysterio and Spider-Man battle them across the major cities of Europe. What history Beck has with the new devastating forces has yet to be seen, although they seem to take at least some inspiration from classic Spider-Man villains like Sandman, Hydro-Man and Molten Man, respectively.
