Is "Spider-Man: Homecoming" director Jon Watts trying to get a dance-off going between Spider-Man and Thanos on Instagram? On September 8, Anthony and Joe Russo -- directors of the upcoming "Avengers: Infinity War" saga -- posted a photo of Josh Brolin doing some preliminary mo-cap work for his villain character, Thanos. The image provided a fascinating behind the scenes look, and Brolin certainly seems to be embracing the role, but he isn't doing much except sitting there.

Watts, whose film is currently in production, decided to up the ante by posting a short video of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" star Tom Holland breaking out some fierce dance moves to "Doin' It Right" and challenging the Russos to do better in a comment: "Yeah but @therussobrothers can Thanos do THIS?"

The playful teasing continued when Holland shared the post, adding, "Popping in these streets MOCAP day! Yes @jnwtts @lifeisaloha just chillin." The Russos -- and Thanos -- have not responded, though they are likely busy gearing up for production on "Avengers: Infinity War," which begins later this year.

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" will explore Peter Parker attempting to balance school and his crime-fighting responsibilities following the events of "Captain America: Civil War." The film, scheduled for release on July 7, 2017, also features Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover and Robert Downey Jr.
