Spider-Man has some of the greatest villains in comics, and one of the best villains in his rogue's gallery is Green Goblin. Green Goblin is kind of like Peter Parker's dark mirror image - a genius who uses his powers for personal gain instead of helping others. Green Goblin is responsible for the death of Spider-Man's first love, Gwen Stacy, making it very personal between the two.

Green Goblin has shown over the years that while he is crazy he can curb his insanity and work with other villains, although he doesn't always get along with every villain. This list is going to look at some DC villains he would get along and others he would hate.

10 Would Get Along With: Solomon Grundy

Solomon Grundy is a big lump of undead muscle. He's pretty much the perfect henchmen- super strong, durable, comes back to life, and dumb as a box of rocks. Grundy is the type of villain that other smarter villains point at heroes to do maximum damage.

Green Goblin would love Grundy because Grundy does what he's told and is strong enough to do a lot of damage.

9 Would Hate: Ra's al Ghul

Ra's Al Ghul rises from the Lazarus Pit in DC Comics

Ra's al Ghul is one of the oldest villains in the DC Universe. Using the Lazarus Pits to keep himself alive, Ra's al Ghul is the leader of League of Shadows and his plans give a whole meaning to the words long-term.

Green Goblin would not get along with Ra's because they are both masterminds. Both men would desire to be in charge of any team up they were in. They may work together for a little bit but would eventually try and kill each other.

8 Would Get Along With: Kite-Man

A joke for most of his criminal career, Kite-Man has been going through something of a renaissance lately because of Tom King's Batman run and the Harley Quinn cartoon. He's pretty much just a guy with a kite on his back that commits crimes. He's awesome.

Green Goblin would find it easy to manipulate Kite-Man into doing what he wanted, so he would definitely work with him. Plus, it worse came to worst, Green Goblin could easily take him down.

7 Would Hate: Vandal Savage

Vandal Savage

Vandal Savage has been alive since the caveman days when he found a radioactive meteorite that granted him immortality and enhanced his physical attributes and intelligence. Savage has been amassing wealth and resources for millennia to help his plans for conquest.

Much like Ra's al Ghul, Green Goblin and Vandal Savage wouldn't get along because there would be too many cooks in the kitchen. Both men would want to be in charge. These two probably couldn't even work together for even a little bit - Savage is just too vicious and they would clash immediately.

6 Would Get Along With: Mr. Freeze

mister freeze

Mr. Freeze is one of the most tragic villains in comics. Forced to wear a cryogenic suit to survive after a lab mishap trying to cure his wife, he's also armed with a freeze gun and his suit gives him super strength.

Green Goblin would respect Freeze as a fellow scientist and would probably even sympathize with him when it came to the situation with Freeze's wife. Goblin could even offer to help cure Freeze's wife in exchange for working together.

5 Would Hate: Black Adam

Once a hero in ancient Egypt, Black Adam was revived in modern times and brought his old-world way of doing things with him. This put him at odds with the heroes of the world as he violently freed his ancient homeland. Gifted with powers by the wizard Shazam, Black Adam is a deadly foe.

Black Adam's arrogance would rub Green Goblin the wrong way immediately. Black Adam is also way more powerful than Green Goblin and Goblin wouldn't want to work with him unless he could figure out some way to nullify his powers or otherwise control him, which he couldn't.

4 Would Get Along With: Lady Shiva

One of the deadliest martial artists in the DC Universe, Lady Shiva has fought some of the most skilled heroes around and taken them down. Even Batman knows better than to mess with Lady Shiva without being prepared for it... or at least without help.

Lady Shiva is a mercenary and Green Goblin understands that mercenaries are quite useful - they're in it for the money, and money is something he has.

3 Would Hate: The Joker

the joker laughing Cropped

Batman's deadliest foe, the Joker, has a body count that few other villains can match. While he may be insane, it doesn't hamper him very much - he's a crafty, unpredictable foe whose schemes are hard for even the Dark Knight to unravel.

Joker is just too crazy for Green Goblin to work with. Goblin can put up with some crazy, like when he worked with Bullseye on the Dark Avengers, but he likes to have the upper hand in some way and even then it's very hard for him. Joker wouldn't allow him to get the upper hand at all and he would infuriate Goblin with every word he said.

2 Would Get Along With: Deathstroke

The DC Universe's greatest mercenary, Deathstroke's superhuman physical abilities make him dangerous, but those aren't what really make him so deadly. It's his brain - unlike everyone else on the planet, he uses ninety percent of it. Combine that with his combat skills and it's a wonder anyone has ever escaped him.

Green Goblin would respect Deathstroke's professionalism and skill immediately. He would find him very useful and since he could pay him, they would get along very well because Green Goblin would have all the power in the partnership.

1 Would Hate: Lex Luthor

Superman's arch-nemesis, Lex Luthor is one of the smartest men on Earth. He uses all of that intelligence for two things- gaining more power and trying to destroy Superman. He and Green Goblin have a lot in common and that's why they wouldn't get along at all.

First off, Green Goblin would hate not being the smartest and richest guy in the room. Secondly, Luthor's arrogance would clash with Goblin's own. Third, while Luthor would be able with a contingency plan to deal with Goblin, Goblin couldn't come up with one to beat Luthor because Luthor is his intellectual superior.
