WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Spider-Man: No Way Home, now playing in theaters.

Spider-Man: No Way Home ended with the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Peter Parker having no more friends or family to rely on. Once Doctor Strange cast that spell to make the world forget all about the wall-crawler's secret identity, it was back to square one for Parker, as he had to come to terms with the responsibility of being Spider-Man all by himself.

This doesn't have to be all that bad, however. Now, Marvel and Sony have the opportunity to introduce a new cast of characters to aid everyone's favorite web-slinger. With so many decades worth of stories and characters, there's no shortage of ideas for what could be seen in a proposed new trilogy. Top that off with the creative liberties that the studio usually takes when approaching a lot of these characters, and the possibilities are endless. Below is a list of characters that have the potential for being part of a new supporting cast to help Spidey in his future adventures on the big screen.

Cindy Moon/Silk

First introduced in 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man #1, Cindy Moon is a classmate of Peter's that got bitten by the same radioactive spider. Cindy went on to attain the same powers (with the addition of creating organic webbing from her fingertips) and adopt the superhero moniker Silk.

Given how every on-screen version of Peter Parker's love interest has always been a non-superpowered individual, maybe it's time for his next sweetheart to be equal. The character already exists in the MCU, appearing as part of Peter's academic decathlon team. A reintroduction and a proper heroic treatment for her wouldn't be too far-fetched. Hopefully, their romance goes deeper than just having their spider pheromones go wild.

Miles Morales

Into the Spider-Verse Miles Morales

It may be an obvious choice, but if there's one thing the studio has learned over the past few years, it's that audiences love seeing multiple Spider-Men suit up. And they don't all have to be just Peter Parker. With the success of Into the Spider-Verse and the PS4/PS5 video games, Miles Morales has proven himself to be a favorite among fans and movie-goers alike.

His existence in the MCU was teased in Spider-Man: Homecoming by Donald Glover's Aaron Davis, aka The Prowler. Once again, Peter's on-screen friends have mostly been non-superpowered humans (except for Harry Osborn in Spider-Man 3), so adding Miles into the mix could prove to be something new. Peter and Miles' relationship has been more akin to Mister Miyagi and Daniel LaRusso in more recent iterations, so this could be a good chance to change it up a bit. Making them best friends just discovering what they're capable of together can be a good idea to start with.

Felicia Hardy/Black Cat

Black Cat feature 1

Appearing in countless video games and even having a small part in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, giving fan-favorite Black Cat her time to shine on the big screen is long overdue. She could also serve as a new love interest for Peter that could keep audiences on the edge of their seat, as both characters could clash in moral standings and she could give Spidey a run for his money. If there is a physical representation for the saying "opposites attract," it's Spidey and Black Cat. Keeping that in mind, it would be interesting to see what kind of MCU twists creatives might give the character in this new version.

Anya Corazón/Araña

Arana Spider-Girl

Debuting in 2004's Amazing Fantasy #1, this average high schooler was mortally wounded in a battle between the Spider Society and the Sisterhood of the Wasp but was healed by a member of the former. Branded with a spider tattoo that gave her a tough exoskeleton and powers similar to the famous webhead, Anya became Araña and joined the Society as a "hunter." She later went on to become Spider-Girl soon after the events of Civil War.

Introducing a character like Anya would most definitely spice up the Spider lore. Not only would there be another spider superhero working alongside Spider-Man, but her magic-based origin could also bring up new and exciting story ideas that could even connect back to Doctor Strange.

Eddie Brock

Eddie Brock Daily Globe

Even though Tom Hardy's version of the character already appeared in No Way Home, he was still from another universe. A new version of Eddie Brock belonging to the MCU could still exist and could even inherit that symbiote from the post-credits scene as it seeks this universe's Eddie.

With Peter Parker now having to work to sustain himself, this is the perfect opportunity to have him land a gig at the Daily Bugle and meet Eddie. They could even become best friends and have a healthy photographer rivalry. This type of character development could make their fated faceoff more disheartening.

John Jonah Jameson III

The son of the notorious J. Jonah Jameson has quite the history in the comics. Being one of the youngest and highest-achieving astronauts for NASA and most famous for becoming the Man-Wolf, this underrated character could certainly provide an interesting dynamic to Peter's new circle of friends. With JJ's hatred towards Spider-Man ever raging on, John could be instrumental in giving Peter the hope he may need to march on in the face of media adversity.

To see where the MCU leaves Peter Parker, Spider-Man: No Way Home is in theaters now.
