In the wake of the Spider-Man: No Way Home teaser trailer release, a deadly new version of the Bully Maguire meme has surfaced online. The short video was posted on Twitter and depicts a dancing Peter Parker emerging from a store before abruptly getting shot and collapsing. The camera then pans across to reveal the three live-action movie versions of Spider-Man standing in front of a Sling Ring portal. The Tobey Maguire version of Spider-Man is shown to be holding the gun and the video ends on him saying the line, "See you, chump."RELATED: Spider-Man: No Way Home IMAX Trailer Debunks Charlie Cox Appearance

This parody video is one of many dedicated to the dark Peter Parker sequence from 2007's Spider-Man 3. Like other Bully Maguire memes, it makes use of doctored footage and audio from the original film to create something new.

The rumored inclusion of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in No Way Home has led to renewed interest in the previous cinematic iterations of Spider-Man. Recently, a Twitter study reported that Garfield is the most popular Spider-Man on the platform.

Speculation has also arisen as to which other Spider-Men could make an appearance in No Way Home. Particular attention has been paid to the live-action potential of Miles Morales following the critical success of 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, with some even pondering the possibility of a crossover between animated and live-action Spider-Man media.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is directed by Jon Watts. The film swings into theaters on Dec. 17.
