The moment Peter Parker has been waiting for finally comes into fruition in the latest Avengers: Infinity War promo. Yes, the wall-crawler becomes a full-fledged Avenger.
In the TV spot, Iron Man himself, Tony Stark, grants Peter with an official welcome into the group of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Mimicking the moment in which somebody is knighted, Stark tells Peter, "Alright kid, you're an Avenger now." As we see in the spot, and in previous footage released for the film, Spider-Man will meet big figures in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Doctor Strange, Star-Lord, and Drax. He'll be fighting alongside those names, and plenty of others, to stop Thanos and the Black Order from fully assembling the Infinity Gauntlet.
A big plot point in Spider-Man: Homecoming included Peter taking down Adrian Toomes, the Vulture, in hopes of impressing Stark and being initiated into the Avengers. This doesn't quite happen as he planned out, but he receives an offer towards the end of the movie, along with the Iron Spider suit -- which he of course wears in Infinity War.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston and Josh Brolin, among others. The film opens April 27.
