Part of what has made Spider-Man: No Way Home a standout in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was how it used the powers of Doctor Strange to bring Peter Parker back to basics. It also managed to rectify fans' criticisms over just how much assistance the character had via Stark technology. However, even though having the hero in a constant state of financial stress was something true to the comics, he lost more than he'd gained. But aside from losing his friends, he also lost a title that, even now, is hard to come by.

Following the death of his Aunt May, Peter had to decide to have everyone who knew who Peter Parker was forget about him entirely. While this saved his reality from an onslaught of dangerous villains, it also forced him to give up the life he had grown up with. Nevertheless, Peter still picked himself up and continued being a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But even still, he also lost his last lifeline of allies he had grown accustomed to and his status as an Avenger.

Even when he was younger, Peter always had an affinity for Iron Man and the Avengers. While becoming one wasn't necessarily on the top of his to-do list, his status as one was something he held close to himself. Because of his actions, Peter could carry the Avengers name when fighting against Thanos and later against Mysterio. He also had the option, though he never used it, to communicate with other Avengers should the need arise. At the very least, it served as an invaluable safety blanket should he be unable to chat with his friends or family about something hero related.

Peter also carried a degree of pride about fighting with the Avengers, even bragging about it to his multiversal selves. In fact, without his time on the Avengers, it's likely he couldn't have used team strategy to stop the villains in No Way Home. But now that Peter is no more, everything he did and the friends he made along the way have been lost to him. Whether it be the Stark family or even heroes like Ant-Man and Hulk, there was at least one person Peter could've turned to on the Avengers to help him. But now, he's been left alone and can't even vent to anyone.

In the comics, Peter Parker has always had one of the strongest support structures in Marvel. Whether it be Captain America or the Human Torch, he always had someone to discuss things with, even when he couldn't talk to his friends and family. While he could still get that structure back, they won't remember the kid behind the mask that helped them face Thanos. Even though it's likely that they would know about his contributions, they'd likely never return his Avengers status since the one who gave it to him was Tony Stark and his only other witness was Doctor Strange.

Compared to everything he had lost at the end of No Way Home, Peter no longer being an Avenger was far from the biggest loss. However, even though the heroes will be grateful for what he did, they won't remember who he was or even lend an ear because they never knew who he really was. As a result, Peter losing his title may be one of the more overlooked losses.
