Spider-Man 4, Smallville, Heroes: April 22nd Comic Reel

Will she or won't she? Director Sam Raimi talked to Sci Fi Wire about Kirsten Dunst and the darker edge of modern movies. "I think she would like to. But I don't want to speak on behalf of her," he said. ""I hope we don't react to these very good and sometimes bad superhero movies around us. I hope that we just [look] ever deeper into the truth of who Peter Parker really is-as a human being and the unique character, and that we celebrate that, which is a lot of the reason I want to make this next picture. I still believe I have an understanding of Peter Parker as the character that I have not quite put onto the screen yet."

Starring Tobey Maguire, release date: May 6, 2011.

Creator Mark Millar made a post on his message board talking about why Evan Spiliotopoulos got the assignment to write the sequel. "Never listen to any commentators as they never know anything about who's coming back, etc. It's just speculation and 99% of the time these guys don't have access to the people who know. 'Wanted 2' is being made in a very tight circle at the moment," Millar said. "As a producer on the thing, I'm excited. I know who's in it and after doing 342 million at the box office we have [serious] money to spend on everything from cast to crew to script. This guy is supposed to be really good. He did a GREAT action script recently (on an unproduced movie) and that's what got him this gig."

No release date announced.
