Spider-Man 4, Smallville: April 24th Comic Reel

Comic Book Movie has a story from the UK newspaper The Daily Express which claims that actress Kirsten Dunst is holding up the process.  A Hollywood insider told the paper, "It had been presumed that Kirsten would sign up for the fourth but she's still not agreed. She needs to be assured that the story is going to be a strong one, in terms of her character. The films clearly wouldn't be the same without her.  I'm hoping that she is going to come on board and I've got a meeting coming up with her.  I think she would like to but I don't want to speak on her behalf."

Starring Tobey Maguire, release date: May 6, 2011.

Kryptonsite has new screen captures from the promo from the next new episode.

Next episode: "Beast," April 30, 2009.

IESB is reporting that director Robert Rodriguez is rebooting the franchise.  "I'm going to be able to shoot my upcoming Machete here, a sci-fi action film called 'Nervewrackers,' a re-boot of the Predator series called Predators, and a couple of smaller movies called 'Sin City 2' and 'The Jetsons,'" he said in a speech speaking to Texan politicians.

No release date announced.

Ain't It Cool News has a piece that claims the leaked work print is virtually identical to the version of the film that will appear in theatres.

Starring Hugh Jackman, release date: May 1, 2009.

CBR News has an interview with actors Anton Yelchin and Bryce Dallas Howard about the film.

Starring Christian Bale, release date: May 21, 2009.

Speaking of interviews, HitFix has one with actor Chris Mintz-Plasse, who plays the Red Mist.  "I can't believe they sent it to me," Mintz-Plasse said. "I can't believe they sent me this kind of role, you know?  It was an action-comedy film, and actually I first thought they were going to offer me the roles of, like, what Clark Duke is playing, his best friends, and they're not that big of a role.  And my agent is like 'No, you're auditioning for Dave, which is the lead.'  And I went in and I auditioned for Dave, and Matthew told me you have too much of a spark.  You have too much charisma for the lead.  The lead should be kind of dull, kind of boring.  And as I went into the audition, like I told you earlier, he told me all about the sequel.  He told me all about Red Mist, how this character like has this spark and he's like 'You don't have the part or anything but I feel really confident with it' and so I left the audition, and then a week later I met with Matthew at the Polo Lounge ... from there he told me I got the part of Red Mist.  I never even auditioned for the part of Red Mist, which is great."

No release date announced.

One more interview?  All right -- actor Armin Shimerman was interviewed by The Pulse talking about playing The Calculator.  "I love it," he said. "You don't have to memorize lines, the people are hilarious -- every animated episode I've ever done is a huge laugh riot. You don't have to get dressed up. There's no blocking. You have to be high energy the whole time, think quick and do a lot of verbal exercises. It's like an enormous work out a gym. It's just fun keeping one eye on the script and an ear cocked for what fellow actors are giving you. It's so much fun that I'd do it a thousand times and almost pay them to do this."

Next episode, "Night of the Huntress," May 1, 2009.

Director Edgar Wright has posted another enigmatic set photo.

No release date announced.
