Spider-Man 4, Jonah Hex, Men in Black 3: Dec 9th Comic Reel

Movieline has word that actor John Malkovich is in negotiations to play the Vulture. The article also suggests Anne Hathaway will play a character named "Felicia Hardy," but not Black Cat. Instead, this character will become "The Vultress." As always, treat these sorts of unconfirmed reports with a healthy dose of skepticism.

Directed by Sam Raimi, release date: May 5th, 2011

The production is going into some reshoots early next year. SpoilerTV has a casting sheet for several characters including Hex's lost love Cassie and President Andrew Johnson. The shoot will be from January 18th to February 1st.

Starring Josh Brolin, release date: June 18th, 2010

Meanwhile, Josh Brolin might be trading in that Western scar for a nice clean suit. The LA Times' Hero Complex blog reports the actor may be considering a role in the third "Men in Black" film. "He could play a new single-monikered government agent, with Tommy Lee Jones' Agent K passing the baton to Brolin's character. Or he could play Agent K as a young man. Or something else entirely," according to the post.

MTV News continues its talk with Ryan Reynolds on all things Deadpool. Asked about playing two very different comic book characters in such close proximity, Reynolds says, "There's such a vast difference between the characters, and I think people forget that I'm an actor." Reynolds says he has had a take on the character for eight years and "the fact that this is even being considered as a franchise right now is truly one of the highlights of my entire career." Meanwhile, CHUD may have uncovered the identities of the writers of the film in the forms of "Zombieland" writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. The article does caution this as a strong rumor, as CHUD could not confirm the writers' involvement.

Warren Ellis answers some questions about the adaptation of his series over at his official site. "RED, the book, is 66 pages long. If you were to film 66 pages of comics, you might, might just about get 40 minutes of film out of it. If you added a musical number," he explains. The film will add more characters and situations. "It is in fact best to consider RED as a short story being adapted into film," continues Ellis. He does point to one particular feature of the film: "Helen Mirren with a sniper rifle."

Starring Bruce Willis, release date: November 19th, 2011

Time for another Batman 3 item. Please keep in mind all rumors are suspect until there is an actual script, production office, and the Batmobile is seen filming in Chicago. Today, MTV News asks Morgan Freeman about the film. The actors response: ""I know -- I just know -- that Chris is working on number three. He couldn't possibly not be."There is video of this exchange featuring Matt Damon looking a little unnerved at the Batman line of questioning. Say, he'd make an offbeat Riddler, wouldn't he?
