Unlike his The Amazing Spider-Man 2 co-star Jamie Foxx, actor Dane DeHaan currently has no plans to reprise his role as Harry Osborn/Green Goblin in Spider-Man 3.
DeHaan denied rumors that he'd appear in Spider-Man 3. "I don’t even know how that would be pulled off," the actor told Radio Times. "I would certainly love to make some kind of movie like that again. I like making superhero movies or in that kind of world," he said.
"And I’m sure I’ll find myself in that world again," DeHaan added.
DeHaan first portrayed Harry Osborn/Green Goblin in 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man, which was the fourth live-action Spider-Man film following Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy. The film starred Andrew Garfield as the web-slinger with Emma Stone appearing as Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors/The Lizard. Additionally, DeHaan reprised his role in 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Although DeHaan won't star in Spider-Man 3, both Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will reportedly appear in the Marvel Studios/Sony Pictures' upcoming film. Tobey Maguire is also rumored to reprise his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man for Spider-Man 3; however, none of these casting rumors have been officially confirmed.
Directed by Jon Watts, the currently untitled sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina and Benedict Cumberbatch. The film arrives in theaters Dec. 17, 2021.
