A video from the set of Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures' Spider-Man 3 teases that Mysterio has a lingering impact on Peter Parker's world, even after his death.

Spider-Man 3's behind-the-scenes set video featured a billboard with several posters including one of Mysterio with the words "I Believe" underneath his image. The caption referenced Quentin Beck's last words to Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Far From Home, saying people "need to believe in something." The video was posted on Atlanta_Filming's Instagram.

Another poster in the video reads, "Citizens to Defend Spider-Man," hinting at a divide in public opinion over the web-slinger's innocence, following the events of the 2019 film.

In Spider-Man: Far From Home, Mysterio pretended to be a hero and used highly advanced hologram tech to stage battles against the "Elementals." He appeared to die after a battle with Spider-Man but released doctored footage of the fight online, framing Spider-Man for his supposed "murder" and outing Peter Parker's secret identity globally.

Plot details for Spider-Man 3 remain scarce; however, actors from the previous two Spider-Man film franchise are either rumored or confirmed to appear in the film. The film will tie into the events of Marvel Studios/Disney+'s WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, with Benedict Cumberbatch appearing in the film as the Sorcerer Supreme.

Directed by Jon Watts, the currently untitled sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina and Benedict Cumberbatch. The film arrives in theaters on Dec. 17.
