WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for Spider-Man: No Way Home, now playing in theaters.

During Spider-Man: No Way Home's final act, some villains finally get to have closure with their version of Spider-Man. During Max Dillon's conversation with Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker, they hint at other possible Spider-Man variants in the multiverse, with a strong tease about a fan-favorite character. Not only is the character teased in No Way Home, but they also were previously hinted at in a Spiderman: Homecoming Easter egg.

At No Way Home's end, all three Spider-Men attempt to cure every villain of their corrupting powers as they swing around the Statue of Liberty. With each one cured, they all share a satisfying moment of acknowledgment with their Spider-Man. Surprisingly, Garfield's Peter Parker and a newly cured Electro share the longest moment.

Exemplified at the start of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Max Dillon has always looked up to Spider-Man. As he lays with his electricity powers removed in No Way Home, he explains to Peter why he considers him an idol, saying that it was because Spider-Man was a person from Queens who stood up for the poor. It's also the charm of Spider-Man for many people; at the end of the day, he's just a kid who wants to do good.

However, as Peter talks with his mask off, it's the first time anyone from his universe (outside of friends and family) has seen him. This revelation prompts Dillon to remark that he always assumed Spider-Man would be Black, which is part of the reason he looked up to him. Together, they laugh, and Peter speculates that there has to be a Black Spider-Man somewhere out in the multiverse. Of course, this causes fans to think of the most popular Black Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Many fans have been eager to see Miles enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially since his more recent popularity from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and the Spider-Man PlayStation games. Now, it seems this remark brings the character one step closer to appearing, with Marvel showing they're well aware of what fans want. However, this isn't even the first time Miles Morales has been alluded to in the MCU, as Spider-Man: Homecoming features an Easter egg for those familiar with the character's background.

As Peter gets used to his new suit in Spider-Man: Homecoming, he tracks a gang member to a parking lot. The crook, played by Donald Glover, is interrogated by an unintimidating Spider-Man for the whereabouts of Vulture's weapons. After some mocking of Peter's interrogation techniques, he explains, "I don't want those weapons in this neighborhood. I got a nephew who lives here."

While this line doesn't mean much on its own, it's very important when considering who's saying it. Before Peter tracks down the criminal, he brings his name up on a computer, reading Aaron Davis, the uncle of Miles Morales. Therefore, the reference to his nephew all but confirms Miles' existence in the MCU. And it's fitting that Spider-Man finds Aaron, as he typically shares a close relationship with Miles, yet they eventually have conflicting paths as he becomes Spider-Man.

Despite Miles Morales being somewhere out in the MCU, no characters seen on screen fit the criteria. Plus, Andrew Garfield's reference to a Black Spider-Man suggests he may not be introduced as a normal kid living in the main timeline. Either way, it's nice to see Miles being acknowledged by the MCU. And with the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it seems like there's potential for even more characters to be pulled through the multiverse and appear in the newly confirmed Spider-Man movies.

To see the Miles Morales tease, Spider-Man: No Way Home is in theaters.
