Not only is he super-closely connected to Miles Morales, the latest iteration of Marvel Comics' Iron Spider has a new trick to go along with his shiny new armor and brand-spankin' new Sinister Six. And in CBR's exclusive first look at Spider-Man #235, written by Brian Michael Bendis and illustrated by Oscar Bazaldua, we have the first look of the suit's upgrade in action.
In our preview, the latest addition to Miles' ever-expanding rogues gallery leads his team on the heist of the century, and in the process reveals one of his suit's new features: Namely, the ability to detach the robotic arms from the back of the costume, and send them on recon missions while controlling them remotely. What's more, they have a cloaking ability that renders them essentially invisible to the human eye and surveillance tech; whether the same holds true for Miles' Spider-Sense is something we assume we'll discover sooner than later. While previous versions of the Iron Spider armor have utilized the robotic arms in different ways, this is the first time they've been able to operate separately from the rest of the suit in this fashion.
