Spider-Man 2099's new series leads the upcoming releases from Marvel Comics.
Spinning out of Spider-Man 2099: Exodus - Alpha #1, Spider-Man 2099: Exodus #1 is set to introduce new players to the futuristic universe where Miguel O'Hara is the world's premier web slinger. The issue will feature 2099's version of the Winter Soldier, while the series will treat Marvel readers to different iterations of many fan-favorites, like Loki, Moon Knight, Black Widow and more. The title will be written by Steve Orlando with interior art from Alessandro Miracolo and cover art from Ryan Stegman. Exodus is not the only title hitting shelves on Wednesday from Marvel though.
Also releasing is the epilogue to the recent Devil's Reign event and the launch of an all-new title for the X-Men, Legion of X. Devil's Reign ended with former New York City Mayor Wilson Fisk/Kingpin escaping with his wife, Typhoid Mary, while Luke Cage was left running unopposed in the city's mayoral election. The epilogue will explore how New York City will react to their new mayor and how they will behave towards heroes now that Kingpin is gone, while serving as a prelude for the upcoming Daredevil relaunch. Meanwhile, Nightcrawler and Legion will star in Legion of X with a new team working in "the psychedelic mindspace called the Altar," according to solicitations.
Other notable mentions include the second issue of the recent Amazing Spider-Man relaunch with writer Zeb Wells and artist John Romita Jr., the continuation of Hulk and Thor's latest crossover in Hulk #7 and the story of Frank Castle's first kill in Punisher #3.
