Marvel Reveals Spider-Geddon Is A Miles Morales Event

At New York Comic Con's Friday evening Marvel Comics: Spider-Man panel, the publisher revealed that Spider-Geddon will be an event centered on Miles Morales.

“To date, most Spider-Man events that we’ve seen have been surrounding the life and times of Peter Parker," Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski said in a trailer for the event at NYCC. "But now, Peter’s taken a backseat, and Miles is taken front and center to this. Miles Morales, who is new to the Marvel Universe, the new teen Spider-Man, the Kid Arachnid, so to speak, is going to be at the front and center of his first big Spider-Man event."

Spider-Geddon is the follow-up to 2014’s Spider-Verse, bringing back Morlun and his Inheritors, as well as new villains. Marvel is promising shocking deaths and returns, leaving fans to wonder if their favorite Spider-heroes will survive the event.

Created by Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli, Miles Morales first appeared in 2011's Ultimate Comics Fallout #4. Since his creation, the character has already played a role in several major Marvel Universe events. Morales co-starred in 2012's Spider-Men and 2017's Spider-Men II, both of which were written by series Bendis, alongside Peter Parker.
