Todd McFarlane has debuted preview pages from Spawn #306 illustrated by artist Phillip Tan, which depict a new foe for McFarlane's iconic antihero."I told you folks I'd share some INTERIOR art pages for Spawn 306 and HERE THEY ARE!" McFarlane tweeted along with the artwork. "So many new exciting things coming for Spawn in the near future."

The first page depicts a new character, with glowing red eyes and black spiky armor surrounding his body, guarding a young girl from what appears to be a dragon made entirely of fire. In the second image, the two sit on a rooftop, the ruins of a city stretching out before them. In the sky, the moon hangs, with a massive chunk ripped right out of it.

The end of Spawn #305 showed Spawn being enveloped by a mysterious force and warped away to parts unknown. It stands to reason that the future depicted in Tan's pages is where he ended up, and judging from the synopsis of the issue, he very well may be the cause of it.
