Fans got the first look and listen at Zendaya's version of Lola Bunny in a new video promoting Warner Bros.' upcoming Space Jam sequel, Space Jam: A New Legacy.

Titled "The Bunny & The GOAT," the ad operates as a parody of ESPN's popular 30 for 30 documentary series, not unlike a similar promotional video made for Cobra Kai back in 2019. In addition to airing on ESPN, the new Space Jam ad is currently streaming on YouTube. Among other things, the mockumentary explains why NBA star Lebron James ended up in another dimension alongside the Looney Tunes in the first place.

"So cute to watch them bicker when everyone knows this is Lola's team," Zendaya's Lola says at one point in the spot, while sitting for an interview on an animated couch. "It makes it sound like Lebron had to save us. We're the best teammates he's ever had. You know, don't love the sidekick label, but we'll let it go because... Lebron." Lola's comments are in response to Bugs Bunny's suggestion, "I'm the face of this team. It's called the Tune Squad, not the Bros Squad."

The segment also finds Lebron explaining that he was forced to enter another dimension after the villainous Al G. Rhythm (Don Cheadle) takes his son into another dimension. In the process, he's also able to help save the Looney Tunes. LeBron also addresses the rumors that he and Bugs didn't get along, explaining, "[There's] no way Bugs and I could ever see eye to eye; he's like four feet tall."

Other cameos in "The Bunny & The GOAT" include NBA broadcaster Rachel Nichols, WNBA player Chiney Ogwumike, former NBA star and current ESPN commentator Richard Jefferson, as well as Tune Squad General Manager and Mascot Daffy Duck.

It was announced back in April that Zendaya had joined the cast of Space Jam: A New Legacy as the voice of Lola Bunny. Her casting was announced via the film's official Twitter account, which posted a GIF of Lola and the Toon Squad members, along with the caption, "Welcome to the Jam, [Zendaya]."

The official synopsis for Space Jam: A New Legacy reads,

During a trip to the Warner Bros. studio, NBA Superstar LeBron James and his son accidentally get trapped within a world that contains all of Warner Bros.' stories and characters, under the control of a malfunctioning, all-powerful force named Al G (played by Don Cheadle). With the help of Bugs Bunny, LeBron must navigate through a never-before-imagined world filled with iconic movie scenes and characters as they re-assemble the Looney Tunes to rescue his lost son. Now to get back home, LeBron and the Tunes have to unravel Al G's mysterious plan and win an epic basketball game against digital gamified super-versions of the NBA and WNBA's biggest stars as the entire world watches.

Space Jam: A New Legacy stars LeBron James, Don Cheadle, Zendaya and Sonequa Martin-Green. The film arrives in theaters and on HBO Max July 16.
