To ensure that their next game has an audience during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Denver Broncos have filled seats with some of Colorado's most famous inhabitants: South Park characters. Odds are it will still end up killing Kenny somehow. To celebrate their Sunday home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Broncos posted a photo on Twitter with the tagline "Happy gameday, friendly neighbors!" featuring masked cutouts of Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman and Kenny McCormick in the stadium seats. This was followed up by a TikTok video with the tagline "Gang's all here," revealing Kyle, Kenny and Cartman to be joined by cardboard cutouts of Stan and Randy Marsh, amongst other South Park residents, all fittingly set to the tune of Adele's Someone Like You.

Even South Park's own social media profile couldn’t help but partake in the socially distanced gathering. The show's official Twitter page posted a photo of the cutouts behind a Broncos Stadium end zone with the quote "Goin' down to Denver gonna have myself a time," a humorous play on the South Park theme song lyrics.

This demonstration of Colorado football pride just so happens to coincide with South Park's return to television for its 24th season. Airing in a year dominated by more than enough insane news coverage to fill five seasons of South Park stories, the show will air a one-hour special aptly titled "The Pandemic Special," which will see the residents of South Park deal with the coronavirus pandemic. Based on promos, this title will also be used as wordplay for Randy Marsh's Pandemic Special weed batch, revealing his marijuana farm business Tegridy Farms to still be thriving to the chagrin of Randy's family.

"The Pandemic Special" episode of South Park premieres Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.
